Two months shy of "I Am Number Four" theatrical release, DreamWorks unleashes an extended trailer which inserts lots of new footage. "My life is a lie," Alex Pettyfer's Number Four said in the beginning of the trailer before his real anatomy begins showing. Beside more background story, it also gives away plenty of fight scenes which use special effects.
Directed by D.J, Caruso, "I Am Number Four" is an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary teen, John Smith (Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri, John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events-his first love, powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.
Pettyfer's real-life girlfriend, Dianna Agron, supports the film as his love interest while Timothy Olyphant acts as his guardian. The film will be released in U.S. theaters next year on February 18.
