Some scenes from "Water for Elephants" have been previewed in a teaser trailer that is released via Apple. It follows Robert Pattinson's Jacob who is fascinated by circus which leads him to meet a female performer, Reese Witherspoon's Marlena, who attracts him.
The veterinary school student and the circus star discover beauty amidst the world of the Big Top, and come together through their compassion for a special elephant. Against all odds, including the wrath of Marlena's charismatic but dangerous husband August (Christoph Waltz), Jacob and Marlena find lifelong love.
Based on bestseller book by Sara Gruen with the same title, "Water for Elephants" presents an unexpected romance in a uniquely compelling setting. Richard LaGravenese turns the novel into a script, while Francis Lawrence serves as director.
The drama will be distributed by 20th Century Fox in theaters across the U.S. on April 15, 2011.
