IFC Films has dropped the first domestic trailer for "Heartless" starring Jim Sturgess via Apple. Like the previously released international trailers, the new sneak peek follows Sturgess' Jamie Morgan whose life has always been blighted by the large heart-shaped birthmark on his face.

He lives in rough East London dominated by a terrifying gang culture and soon discovers that they are something other than human. Their random violence has convinced Jamie that the world is meaningless and ugly.

But then Jamie meets someone who tells him the truth. The violence is not random. It's far from chaotic. There is a reason for everything. Once Jamie accepts this, the world reveals itself as a thing of great beauty. Tricked into a deal with a demon, he now has to fight to save his soul.

Coming from U.K. director Philip Ridley, "Heartless" also has Clemence Poesy and Noel Clarke among the cast line-up. This dark urban tale will take its audience to the darkest and most violent corners of the human heart when it is unleashed in limited U.S. cinemas on November 19.
