AceShowbiz - After "Hatchet" received positive review for bringing a new kind of slasher movie, Dark Sky Films is going to release the sequel in limited U.S. theaters on October 1. Now, a teaser trailer for "Hatchet II" is brought forward via Yahoo! Movies to give audience a preview of what can be expected in the upcoming movie.
The video features short praises from critics about the first film before it switches to show quick footage from "Hatchet II". They mostly capture gory and bloody scenes, involving killing tools and creepy figures, which are set during a dark night.
In this "Hatchet" sequel, Victor Crowley returns as Marybeth, who escapes from his clutches in the first movie, learns the truth about his curse. She then heads back into the haunted New Orleans swamp to seek revenge for her family.
Kane Hodder reprises his role as Crowley with Danielle Harris replacing Tamara Feldman as Marybeth. Adam Green still tackles the helming duty for the follow-up to the 2006 horror film and writes the script.
