New Trailers of 'Vampire Diaries' and 'Supernatural'

Katherine spreading terror in Mystic Falls and Dean settling down while his brother Sam is out there are the highlights of the new season's trailers.

The CW is all prepared for the Fall season premieres, releasing trailers for two of its powerful series "The Vampire Diaries" and "Supernatural". Unfortunately, unlike the ones played at the San Diego Comic Con, these trailers only summarize last season and add reviews from the media in "Vampire" 's case.

The one for "Vampires" would like to emphasize on how Katherine would stir things up in the second season with her presence in Mystic Falls. Stefan says in the trailer how the evil vampire looks a lot like Elena in the outside but not in the inside. Apparently, this resemblance will be explained in the new season.

Speaking to MTV, exec producer Kevin Williamson said, "We 100 percent go there. It's not an easy answer, it's something I think Elena's going to have to uncover, and I think the answers aren't exactly what she wants to hear. But 100 percent, she is going to figure out the doppelganger aspect."

Meanwhile, as previously reported, the new season of "Supernatural" would be some sort of a throwback to season 1. At the recent Television Critics Association tour, the CW panel said Sam will be more like Dean and Dean will be more like Sam. They basically switch personalities.

"Vampire Diaries" return September 9 while "Supernatural" returns on September 24.
