The seventh season is officially short on estrogen for all six men remain intact while the five women have wilted down to three.

The female contestants of "So You Think You Can Dance" this season proved to be less popular than the boys. After the elimination of Alexie Agdeppa last week, two more found themselves in the bottom three. Melinda Sullivan and Cristina Santana were in danger along with Robert Roldan.

These three danced for their lives as the last effort to impress the judges and stay in competition. Melinda danced the tap to Q-Tip's "Heels", Cristina did the salsa to "Quimbara" while Robert composed a contemporary piece with "Everywhere I Go". After some consideration, the judges put Roberto back in the Top 9 and weighed in between Melinda and Cristina.

Head judge Nigel Lythgoe announced that the votes were not unanimous. Adam Shankman and Mia Michaels wanted to keep Melinda while Nigel did not because he thought she can't connect with viewers well. But due to voice majority, Cristina, the only ballroom dancer this season, had to go home. This also means one all-star male will not return next week.
