AceShowbiz - Alan Ball has dropped a minisode of "True Blood" which is not completely detached from the main storyline. Fans of the show may have been aware that Bill had proposed to Sookie in the end of season 2 but how he got the ring was not told. This minisode does explain how Bill chose the bling.
Fresh from the shower, Bill welcomes Joe Ellen Smallwood who works for Thomas Tinkerton's Fine Jewelry into his house. It is soon found out that the recently widowed woman wants more than just selling jewels. She wants Bill to stick his fangs on her and make love to her gently "but not so gently".
Bill then says that it's not going to happen because he's "a one woman man and a one human vampire". But he makes a deal that will get Smallwood what she wants.
"True Blood" begins the third season on June 13.
