The live rendition of Kurt Bestor's 'Prayer of the Children' has made David Archuleta's fans raising as much as $3,850 for the Haitian relief cause.

AceShowbiz - David Archuleta was one of the public figures booked to sit behind the desk and pick up phone from the callers during the recent "Hope for Haiti" concert. He didn't make an on-stage live performance at the January 22 gig, but managed to deliver an impromptu performance backstage.

The runner-up of "American Idol" season 7 performed a rendition of Kurt Bestor's "Prayer of the Children". After finishing the song, he urged fans to be involved in the relief effort, saying "Please help these kids. They're going through a lot. And they need your help so just do anything you can and donate for these kids."

The footage of David Archuleta was outed by MTV after many of his die-hard fans begged Jim Cantiello to show David's mini-concert the reporter previously mentioned on Twitter. Jim then asked fans to donate to the Haitian by sending a TwitPic of a cupcake to his Twitter page. "By Tuesday afternoon, a generous group of fans had raised $3,850 in mine and David Archuleta's names," so the reporter said.
