AceShowbiz - Simon Baker's Patrick Jane is going back to the past in the next episode of "The Mentalist". While he and the team examine the crime scene where a baseball scout is found murdered, he is clocked in the head by a ball and flashes back to his childhood with his overbearing father.
Titled "Throwing Fire", the episode will be aired on December 17 and has Nick Chinlund playing as Jane's father. Other guest stars include Brent Sexton, Jude Ciccolella, Omar Leyva, Frank Gallegos and Ben Bledsoe among others.
Previously, it was reported that Aunjanue Ellis will be joining "The Mentalist" cast, playing the new head of the California Bureau of Investigation. She is slated to make her debut on the show next spring, stepping in for Gregory Itzin who headed back to "24" to reprise his role as former President Charles Logan.
