AceShowbiz - Rivers Cuomo, the lead singer of band Weezer, was involved in an accident early Sunday morning, December 6 when his tour bus hit some ice, skidded across the New York State Thruway, struck a guide rail and slid into a ditch. The family and Weezer's assistant, identified as Sarah Kim, were on their way back from Toronto, Ontario for a concert at Boston University's Agganis Arena scheduled for Monday night, December 7, when the collision happened. Cuomo and Kim, both of whom suffered injuries, were rushed to St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, New York.

Cuomo reportedly suffered three cracked ribs and internal damage, as well as injured one of his legs. As for Kim, she fractured two ribs and a lower vertebrae. Details of the accident and some pics taken from the scene have been revealed on the band's official website, thanks to Karl Koch, who runs the page and has posted an account of what happened.

In the wake of the bus accident, it is confirmed that the rest of Weezer's "Raditude Tour", which is embarked on to support the band's album "Raditude", for this month has been canceled until an indefinite time.
