Grammy winning-country band Rascal Flatts are heading to Las Vegas, not for a concert but for a guest starring appearance on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". Entertainment Weekly reported that the threesome will be playing themselves in an episode airing "sometime next year".

Executive Producer Carol Mendelsohn detailed that they each has a role which is quite opposite to one another. "One of the guys - and tear out my fingernails, but I won't say who - will become the victim of a crime. The other two 'Rascals' will be suspects... thus, jeopardizing the future of the band," Mendelsohn said.

The episode is called "Unshockable" and it is "a riff off [the group's] hit album, tour and song". Mendelsohn won't confirm whether the band would perform but she said, "Of course, there will be lots of music, and perhaps, even a new original song."

Rascal Flatts released their sixth studio album "Unstoppable" this year and it debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 200 with more than 300,000 copies sold in the first week. They are in tour to support the album and recently paid a visit to 2009 Huntington Food Festival to assist chef Jamie Oliver. Their 30-minute set was filmed for an ABC reality series which is set to air in February 2010.
