Anna Kendrick Describes Her Role in 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'

'I basically just sort of judge Scott for all his life choices,' says Anna Kendrick when describing her character, Stacey Pilgrim, in the movie based on comic book series 'Scott Pilgrim'.

AceShowbiz - In upcoming comedy movie "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World", Anna Kendrick will be seen playing Stacey Pilgrim. Being met at the roundtable interview for another forthcoming movie "Up in the Air", the actress has been willing to explain about her role. "She's Scott [Pilgrim]'s sister. I basically just sort of judge Scott for all his life choices and tell him how to live his life which is fun, but I care about him too," she detailed.

Asked about whether or not there was cool action happened during the shooting for her part, Kendrick shared, "There's one scene. I'm at the theater where Scott fights Matthew Patel and that was really fun." She later claimed her co-star, Michael Cera, who plays Scott will be seen doing a lot of actions in the film, stating "I will tell you right now Michael Cera kicks so much ass in this movie. I mean, everybody does but the bigger shock is to see Michael doing kung fu."

Moreover, Kendrick who has watched an approximately thirty minutes of the movie has commented about the Edgar Wright-directed film. "You should start emotionally preparing yourself now. It's so good, people are not going to know what hit them," she gushed. "It's so cool. I've never seen anything like it. There's an energy and a style that I've just never seen before..."

"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" centers on a young slacker who falls in love with Ramona Flowers. Never having problems of getting a girlfriend before, this time he finds out that he must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends to win his true love. Beside serving as the helmer, Edgar Wright also writes the script alongside Michael Bacall. Universal Pictures plans to release the film in 2010.
