Now that his living partner is recuperating at home, Joel is ready to get back into the studio to work on his band Good Charlotte's upcoming album.

All is well with Nicole Richie following announcement made by her publicist earlier this week that the celebrity socialite was hospitalized with pneumonia. Giving up-date on her latest condition is her musician partner Joel Madden who confirms through a post on his band Good Charlotte's official site that Nicole has returned home and is recovering.
"So I stepped off the plane after a month out of the country, and basically went straight to the hospital for the week," Joel states in the message. "But don't worry all is well and we are home with no problems. I was supposed to go into the studio a finish the last few vocals for the record, but that had to wait. Family first."
Joel goes on revealing, "Just getting home from the hospital to a healthy family is enough for me but to do what i love is the icing on the cake. So thanks, and Cardiology is coming soon ..... " referring to Good Charlotte's upcoming studio album.
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been together since 2006. They have two children together; one-year-old daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden and two-month-old son Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
