Though "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" will not hit U.S. theaters until 2010, one of the film's stars, Jason Schwartzman, has had a chance to watch the first twenty minutes of the movie. In an exclusive interview with MTV Splash Page, he explained what he saw from the footage.

"I saw the first 20 minutes of it and I'm very proud to be a part of it," Schwartzman admitted. Later, he revealed that his character is not seen in the 20-minute clip, saying "Not to spoil a lot, but I'm not really a part of the first 20 minutes." He additionally shared, "I hadn't seen any of that stuff they shot. The whole thing was a surprise. You read the script and you imagine it, but then to see it... I was so excited."

Commenting on the film based on the clip he saw, Schwartzman later stated, "I hope-and I'm pretty confident-that that's the way people will feel when they see the movie." He then explained, "Because I'm a fan of the comics and a fan of Edgar and Michael, and watching the first 20 minutes it was like, 'Oh! There's that, and that, and that, and I've always wondered what that would [look like]...'"

Overall, Schwartzman thinks "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" is "unlike anything" he has ever seen before. Moreover, the depicter of Gideon Graves claimed, "It's really funny, it's really emotional, there's a lot of romance-but the action sequences, I've never seen scenes quite like these. They're really beautiful."

"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" centers on a young slacker who falls in love with Ramona Flowers. Never having problems of getting a girlfriend before, this time he finds out that he must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends to win his true love. Michael Cera stars opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead to portray lead character Scott W. Pilgrim and his love interest Ramona. "Shaun of the Dead" helmer Edgar Wright directs the movie beside serving as producer and writer of the film.
