Telling Star Magazine in an interview that she has met Robert Pattinson many times, Kayla Ewell says the "Twilight" leading actor is like a young James Dean. "He's a free thinker in many ways, very casual and easygoing. He's also really funny, which most people don't know," she expresses her impression toward the British film star.
The 24-year-old small screen actress, furthermore, reveals that she knows many of "Twilight" cast. "I used to date Kellan Lutz. We were together for two and a half years, but the distance and travel really kept us apart. In the end we decided it wouldn't work, but we're still good friends," she opens up.
Asked about how she gets along with fellow cast member in her supernatural-fantasy horror TV series "The Vampire Diaries", the depicter of Vicki Donovan admits she is close to Ian Somerhalder, whom she describes as "the most experienced actor in the cast." She adds, "He's like a big brother to us. Steven R. McQueen, who plays my love interest, has become a good friend of mine too."
However, Kayla has her own favorite vampires, telling Star Magazine, "Alexander Skarsgard's vampire from 'True Blood'. He's so sexy and cool! I also like Ryan Kwanten, who plays Anna Paquin's brother on the show. He's smokin'!"
