The real-life lovers who called off wedding plans earlier this week will continue with their commitment in dancing at the biggest TV event.

Previously only a speculation, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff dancing together at the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards show is now confirmed by CBS. The dancing pair is expected to get more attention now that they are no longer a couple off screen.
Maksim and Karina who called off their engagement earlier this month will be featured in the segment honoring dance in reality television. The commitment reportedly was made before a rep for Maksim confirmed on September 8 that they have separated.
CBS will air the event live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater on September 20 starting at 8/7c. While Neil Patrick Harris has been confirmed to be the host, the names of performers and presenters at the annual TV event are not yet unveiled.
Not only at the Emmys, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff will see each other a whole lot more the rest of this year because they are both participating in the ninth season of "Dancing with the Stars". Maksim is paired with actress Debi Mazar while Karina is to lead Aaron Carter.
