While many are anticipating the latest trailer of "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" to come out during 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, details on the U.S. premiere event for this "Twilight" sequel are shared. MTV reported that the Mann Theater website has uncovered the second movie in the "Twilight Saga" series will hold out its first special screening in the States on Monday, November 16.

Taking place four days before the movie opens wide in theaters, the red carpet premiere will make use of L.A.'s Village and Bruin theaters. The venue is the same place that was used by Summit Entertainment for the world premiere of the vampire drama's first film in 2008. No words on which stars will attend this event.

In the meantime, Death Cab for Cutie has shared a preview of "Meet Me in the Equinox", the lead single off "New Moon" soundtrack album. The snippet is 40 seconds long and features the chorus of the track. While the band are expected to debut the whole song on Sunday, September 13 at 2009 MTV VMAs, the soundtrack album will be available for purchase in the U.S. on October 20.

"The Twilight Saga's New Moon" is penned by "Twilight Saga" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and directed by "The Golden Compass" helmer Chris Weitz. It centers on the personal conflict Bella experiences following Edward Cullen's abrupt departure. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner star.

The three leading actors are joined by many of the original cast members, including Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed. Dakota Fanning, Michael Sheen and Noot Seear are among the new additions to the cast. "New Moon" targets a U.S. release on November 20.
