Arthur Poppington is a regular man whose delusion leads him to adopt a superhero persona known as Defendor. Through a brand new trailer of "Defendor" from Twitch, first look at Woody Harrelson as the titular character and how he is determined to take down his arch enemy Captain Industry are shared.
Nobody around Poppington takes him seriously as a crime fighter, yet he still combs the city streets at night in search of Captain Industry, a drug and weapons dealer who he mistakenly blames for the death of his mother. While doing so, he meets and befriends young prostitute Katerina Debrofkowitz. Armed with unconventional weapons of mass confusion, aided by his new friend, and putting his life on the line, he proves that everyone is capable of making a difference.
"Defendor" is a comedy drama written and directed by Peter Stebbings. Headlined by Woody Harrelson, it has Kat Dennings, Sandra Oh and Elias Koteas in the supporting roles. Written in 2005 and filmed in January 2009, it will have its world premiere at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 10 to 19.
