Michael Jackson tribute concert at Vienna's Schoenbrunn palace is scheduled to be held on September 26.

AceShowbiz - A tribute concert for Michael Jackson, which will feature a performance by Jermaine Jackson, has been confirmed to be conducted on September 26. Georg Kindel from the show's promoter, World Media Awards Media GmbH, told The Associated Press that the gig will be a star-studded affair which is expected to run for three hours.

Ten big singers will be performing around 15 to 20 of Michael's finest hit singles. They would perform on a multimedia stage built in the shape of a giant crown on the Schoenbrunn palace's sculpted grounds. Other than Jermaine, other musical guests are yet to be announced. Words are, the line-up is still in the works and will be revealed sometime soon.

This tribute was originally staged at London's Wembley Stadium on August 29 to celebrate what would have been Michael's 51st birthday, but Jermaine decided to bring it to Vienna. The decision was made because the Austrian capital is "a very dear place" for his brother, so Jermaine said on "Larry King Live" on August 7. "He loved castles. And we're going to have this huge celebration in front of a castle," Jermaine added.

There is a chance that this gig, which is aimed to be held as a "global" farewell to Michael, will be televised as Georg previously confirmed that negotiations are ongoing with networks over rights to broadcast the event.
