AceShowbiz - A spokesperson for Jude Law has issued an exclusive statement to Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday, July 29, confirming the actor is expecting a baby from ex-girlfriend. "Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year," so part of the statement read.
It was revealed further that Jude "is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life." No mention of the baby's mother's identity has been made though. It was simply stated at the end of the statement that the confirmed pregnancy will be treated as "entirely private matter and no other statements will be made."
Jude Law was previously married to actress Sadie Frost, with whom he has three children; sons Rafferty and Rudy, and daughter Iris. The pair got divorced in October 2003 after six years of marriage. The actor then dated film star Sienna Miller. Getting engaged in 2004, the twosome split in 2005 after he publicly admitted to have had an affair with his children's nanny, Daisy Wright. Jude and Sienna briefly reconciled, but broke up for good in 2006.
On screen, the currently single Jude can next be seen starring in "Sherlock Holmes", which is targeting December 25 U.S. release. Besides, he will also appear in "Hamlet" on Broadway beginning this October.
