A new claim has just been made by Paris Hilton who has no hesitation to tell press that late Michael Jackson named his daughter Paris Michael Katherine Jackson after her. She revealed the matter to Extra while attending the screening of her documentary "Paris, Not France" in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, July 22.

"My mom and Michael went to high school together and they were best friends since they were 13," the socialite began her explanation. "So I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me. So he asked my mom if it was okay and of course she said yes and I think she's such a beautiful little girl and I'm proud we have the same name."

Official word has not yet been issued by Michael's family on whether or not Paris' claim is right.

11-year-old Paris Michael Katherine Jackson earned praise from a number of Hollywood celebs when she bravely paid tribute to his late father Michael Jackson on a memorial service held July 7 at L.A.'s Staples Center to remember his life and career. Keeping her tribute short, the little girl tried to fight back tears and said, "Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. I just want to say I love him so much."
