In anticipation of "Iron Man 2" presentation at San Diego Comic Con 2009, USA Today has brought forth a series of new photos for the superhero sequel. Three in total, the new pictures center on Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle's Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes and director Jon Favreau.

One of the images shows what is said to be the after-effect of Whiplash's attack when Tony Stark participates in a race as a pissed off Stark is seen squatting amidst wreckage on the race track. Another one displays Potts, who has been promoted to CEO of Stark Industries, lounging on her chair. The last one captures Favreau having a discussion with Downey Jr. and Cheadle on the film's set.

Accompanying the photos, USA Today included an article in which Downey Jr. talks how hard it is to impress fans attending the Comic Con. "This is about the toughest group there is to impress," he shares. "They're watching your footage, every one of them waiting to Twitter whether you suck."

"Iron Man 2" had its script written by Justin Theroux. Don Cheadle takes on Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes in place of Terrence Howard, while Samuel L. Jackson stars as Nick Fury and Mickey Rourke is set to carry out Whiplash.

Set to hit U.S. theaters on May 7, 2010, this "Iron Man" sequel has wrapped up its principal photography. It will be presented by Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment at the San Diego Comic Con 2009 on Saturday, July 25, from 04:00 P.M. to 05:00 P.M. at Hall H.
