Continuing to show confidence, FOX's new series "Lie to Me" will bring back the guests. Mekhi Phifer who appeared in the last two episodes of season 1 will show his face one more time as FBI agent Ben Reynolds. Jennifer Beals, meanwhile, is also back on duty as Assistant U.S. Attorney Zoe Landau.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phifer is going to be a series regular but Beals in the meantime is still attached to the recurring status. The second season of the crime drama series begins on Monday, September 28 after the sixth season premiere of "House M.D.".

Ben first appeared in the episode "Blinded". He has been pursuing a serial rapist who is terrorizing the Washington area and later reluctantly partners with The Lightman Group to track down information from a convicted criminal who the rapist seems to be copy-catting. His character is added to help solving the case which can't be cracked through traditional investigative tactics.

Zoe is the ex-wife of the lead character Cal Lightman and the mother of their teenage daughter. While working on a case together, Zoe and Cal discover they still have feelings for each other. In the season finale, Zoe helps Lightman with an investigation and both are concerned about their daughter's safety.
