Taylor Swift Used to Daydream About Nowadays Fame
Celebrity

Now that she has become a famous country music star just like she used to daydream about, Taylor Swift says she can't complain about her popularity.

Long before she earned her fame in music industry, Taylor Swift used to daydream about becoming a celebrity, she herself has admitted. Recalling her younger years, the country music star told reporters backstage at the CMA Music Festival held at LP Field in Nashville on June 14, "I remember when I was a little kid, and I used to sit there and think about how lucky I would be if people cared about the words that I wrote. Or how lucky I would be if someday I was just walking through the mall and I saw some little girl walking by with my face on her shirt."

"And when you spend so much time daydreaming about that stuff, when that actually happens, you don't ever complain about it, you know? When I go to a restaurant, yeah, I know that a line will form in front of the table, but didn't I used to wish for that? Yeah, I did," she continued. "As far as burning out goes, I get tired a lot, but I never get tired of it," she admitted further. "So I never want to be the girl who wanted something so bad her whole life - just only one thing - and then gets it, and complains about it. I'm not going to be that girl."

Most recently, Taylor Swift expressed her joy upon learning that her idol John Mayer wants to make a duet with her in a song called "Half of My Heart." She was quoted by Elle magazine as stating, "He Twittered the other day that he wrote a song, and he wants to make it a duet with me. I freaked out when I heard [it]." She, moreover, gushed "[It's] because I've been such a big fan of John for such a long time. I'm really excited about just the idea that he would even mention me in his Twitter!"
