Thanking Kanye West over the rapper congratulating his 'American Idol' victory, Kris Allen would love to work with the 'Heartless' hitmaker someday.

Kris Allen would love to work with rapper Kanye West. The winner of "American Idol" season eight opens up the matter to Extra in response to Kanye congratulating him over his victory in Idol.

"Thank you for liking the song, Kanye," Kris says when being informed that Kanye loves his "Heartless" performance in one of the Idol episodes. "Thank you for writing the song, The whole CD is amazing." He continues, "Hopefully we can work together. That'd be great. Thanks for the congrats. I appreciate it."

Kris Allen performed Kanye West's "Heartless" twice. He showcased his rendition of Kanye's hit single for the first time during Idol Top 3 episode. Then, he sang it once again in "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", which has been aired on May 26.

After invading the Ellen DeGeneres-hosted talk show, Kris paid "Live with Regis and Kelly" a visit on May 26. During the show, he performed the Idol winning song "No Boundaries", which was also delivered in front of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" viewers.
