It is reported that the legal department for Rihanna's record label, Island Def Jam, has sent a letter to one website that published her nude pictures, demanding the photos to be taken down.

AceShowbiz - The legal department at Rihanna's record label, Island Def Jam, is quick to respond to the singer's nude pictures that were leaked online over the weekend. According to a report run by TMZ, the legal department has sent a letter to at least one website that published the photos, asking it to take down the provocative shots.

It is not known which website that becomes the target of the letter. It is simply said that the letter referred to "unauthorized photos purported to be...Rihanna" and called the outing of the photos a violation of "the Artist's rights."

In the meantime, speculation is mounting if the woman in the leaked nude photographs is Rihanna. As clearly seen in the shots, Rihanna's face is obvious to be noticed in two of the pics that show her wearing clothes, yet isn't shown on the other pictures that simply expose a woman's breasts and bottoms. The legal department for Island Def Jam itself does not deny nor confirm whether the woman really is Rihanna.

While talks are heating up on the leaked nude photos, Rihanna reportedly is devastated by the incident. At time of writing, she is said flying to Hawaii in a bid to escape bad judgment.

"She is freaking out. She was on the road to recovery after a terrible few months," a friend of the singer tells Britain's News of the World. "She has no idea how these pictures have been leaked but she's determined to find out." The friend then adds, "She's rushed off to Hawaii to escape the scrutiny. She's recording her new album and wants to shut herself in the studio away from the world for a few days."
