"Gossip Girl" spin-off is shaping up with the release of its official title and backdoor pilot date. Stated on the promotional poster of "Gossip Girl" episode 2.24 is the title for both the episode and the spin-off, "Valley Girls". The new show will have its pilot as an episode of "Gossip Girl" on May 11.

Brittany Snow poses as young Lily Rhodes, who is the centerpiece of "Valley Girls", for a mugshot by Los Angeles police. No official synopsis has been released for either the spin-off or the episode but there will be a lot of flashbacks into the 1980s when Lily van der Woodsen was still a maiden living in L.A.

Also slated to appear on the May 11 episode is No Doubt who are back to life after a four-year hiatus. The band will perform a cover of Adam and the Ants' "Stand and Deliver" as a fictional band called Snow Doubt.

Other cast in "Valley Girls" include Cynthia Watros and Andrew McCarthy as Lily's parents, Celia 'CeCe' Rhodes and Rick. Ryan Hansen is also tapped to play as Shep, a friend of Shiloh Fernandez's character Owen who meets Lily in the Valley. Meanwhile, Krysten Ritter plays Lily's sister Carol whom Lily lives with after falling out with her parents.
