Key Dates of 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards Announced

The nominations of next year's Golden Globe Awards will be read on December 15 while the gala which will be broadcast live nationwide, will be held on January 17, 2010.

AceShowbiz - For the first time, Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live nationwide in HD. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association have announced that the 67th year would go directly to NBC on January 17, 2010 live at 5 P.M. PST and 8 P.M. EST from The Beverly Hilton. "You don't have to watch the pre-show somewhere else. You can come to NBC to watch it," President of Dick Clark Prods. Orly Adelson said.

This new format means audience in west coast do not have to wait three hours like usual to witness the stars walking on the red carpet and accepting the awards in the ceremony. As President of HFPA Jorge Camara put it, "For the first time, viewers on the west coast will see the winners announced at the same time as the rest of the country, with no tape delay."

Attached with the announcement of the live broadcast is the timetable of the key dates concerning the awards show that honors works in television and feature films. To be noted is the announcement of the nominations that will happen on December 15 this year.

Schedule for the key dates of Golden Globes are as follow:

  • Oct 30, 2009 - Final date for press conferences for Television entries
  • Nov 6, 2009 - Deadline for submission of Golden Globe entry forms
  • Nov, 2009 - Cecil B. DeMille Award/Miss Golden Globe announced
  • Dec 3, 2009 - Nomination ballots mailed out to all HFPA members
  • Dec 9, 2009 - Final screening date for Motion Pictures
  • Dec 10, 2009 - Final date for Motion Picture press conferences
  • Dec 11, 2009 - Deadline for receipt of nomination ballots
  • Dec 15, 2009 - Nomination Announcement of Golden Globe Awards
  • Dec 18, 2009 - Deadline for receipt of media credential applications
  • Dec 28, 2009 - Final ballots mailed to all HFPA members
  • Jan 6, 2010 - Deadline for receipt of publicist credential applications
  • Jan 13, 2010 - Deadline for receipt by Ernst & Young of final ballots
  • Jan 17, 2010 - Presentation of 'The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards'
