Fresh 'Star Trek' Footage Shared Through Extended TV Spot

More never-before-seen footage from 'Star Trek' have been brought forth as a brand new and extended TV spot of the much awaited sci-fi movie comes out.

AceShowbiz - Another television promo for "Star Trek" has made its way out. Reeling in several new footage and scene, this new TV spot was debuted during the broadcast of the 22nd Kids' Choice Awards on Nickelodeon. Aimed at a younger crowd, the promo video is similar to the film's first trailer, but removes the violent and explicit parts.

Some of the extended shots seen in this TV spot include a close-up footage of baby Spock, a shot of Zachary Quinto's Spock at Vulcan council, and a new angle on the scene wherein Uhura and Spock share a hug. Meanwhile, the never-before-seen footage give out Simon Pegg's Scotty trapped inside the Enterprise's water pipes after beaming on board from Delta Vega, and Chris Pine's Kirk trying to figure out how to get Scotty out of the pipes.

To start with the time Federation starship U.S.S. Kelvin is being attacked by a vicious Romulan, "Star Trek" will chronicle the early days of James T. Kirk and his fellow U.S.S. Enterprise crew members during their time at Starfleet Academy. Putting together Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Karl Urban and Zoe Saldana among others as the young Enterprise crew, it also sets Eric Bana as villainous Nero and sees Leonard Nimoy taking the role of older Spock. Paramount Pictures will distribute the film across the U.S. on May 8.
