Pocketing 6 Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, "Band of Brothers" that originally aired on HBO in 2001 will return to the small screen via Spike. The American cable network has secured the right to re-run the mini series later this year.

No fix date has been set for the first of the 10-episodes series, but Spike aims it to air in the third quarter. This can provide as a cushion to another world war movie "The Pacific" which will be premiered on HBO in early 2009. Both "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific" are produced by winning duo Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

"Band of Brothers", based on real-life events, follow Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, from their initial training starting in 1942 to the end of World War II. It stars Damian Lewis, Donnie Wahlberg and Ron Livingston among others.
