The first teaser trailer of "Agora" has come out. Nearly two-minute long, this Spanish teaser is yet to include any dialog. Still, it displays much of the epic scenes, such as the uprising of Christianity, as well as a look into some of the characters in the historical drama, including Rachel Weisz's Hypatia of Alexandria.

Set in fourth century Alexandria, "Agora" centers its story on the love of a slave named Davus for his master who is astrologer-philosopher known as Hypatia of Alexandria. While Davus is torn between his love for his mistress and the possibility of gaining his freedom by joining the rising tide of Christianity, Hypatia fights to save the old world's wisdom from the religious riots sweeping the streets of Alexandria.

This historical drama comes from the director of "The Others", Alejandro Amenabar, who has been set as its director and co-writer. Starring Rachel Weisz and Max Minghella, it will be Amenabar's second film in the English language. The movie is expected to hit U.S. theaters on December 18.
