AceShowbiz - Battling stage 4 of pancreatic cancer, Patrick Swayze reportedly will write an inspirational-type tome with the help of his wife, actress Lisa Niemi. Entertainment Weekly was the first to report that matter.
Contrary to the claim, People cites a source close to Patrick as saying that instead of writing an inspirational book, the movie star will focus his tome on his life's journey, including his current fight against cancer. A representative for Patrick has confirmed the actor's plan to write a memoir to US Weekly, but doesn't give clue about what it will be focused on.
At time of writing, there haven't words on what the memoir will be titled. It is also not known on when the tome will hit the bookstores.
Battling pancreatic cancer, Patrick Swayze has denied false reports claiming he loses his battle to the deadly disease. "I'm one of the lucky few that responds well to treatment," he insisted. "It's upsetting that the shoddy and reckless reporting from these publications cast a negative shadow on the positive and good fight I'm fighting. For me, my family, and those close to me, it amounts to downright emotional cruelty. That makes me angry when hope is so precious."
And instead of withdrawing himself from the industry, he opts to continue filming cable pilot "The Beast". His wife Lisa Niemi always accompanies him to the set.
