Katy Perry put to rest the mounting reports claiming she is engaged to boyfriend Travis McCoy of band Gym Class Heroes. She wrote a brief denial on her blog, dated Wednesday, December 17, under the title "From the horses mouth."
"NOT engaged!" she wrote. "But thanks for the free press, New York Daily News!" She went on adding, "You should fact check with the source before you spread world wide news like that."
The New York Daily News' Gatecrasher reported on Tuesday, December 16 Travis McCoy has proposed to Katy Perry during a recent romantic break to the French capital, Paris. His proposal was claimed as unconventional as he did it by kissing the music star with a diamond ring in his mouth.
When asked to confirm the story, Travis' manager Bob McLynn simply said "nah," and a spokesperson for Katy's record label also gave the story a thumbs-down.
In another Katy news, she recently confirmed to be camping with fans at Hollywood's Paramount Lot for a live appearance at Gridlock's new year's eve party.
