The 20th Century Fox have officially unveiled the first trailer of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". The video footage was debuted at "Wolverine" MySpace page on Monday, December 15, following the outing of the bootleg version taped from the film's theatrical trailer attached to "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

Presenting a much better take on the action as well as the drama surrounding Logan, the trailer hints that Logan discovers his claws at a young age and the tragedy following the discovery of his uniqueness. It also shares a glimpse of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, and shows Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, making use of his kinetically-charged playing cards.

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is a prequel to the "X-Men" trilogy. Its story focuses on chronicling the violent and romantic early life of the titular character, including his participation on the Weapon X program and his complex relationship with Victor Creed. Directed by Gavin Hood, it stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth among others. The action fantasy will make its debut in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2009.
