Based on the true story of a German World War II colonel and Catholic aristocrat Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, "Valkyrie" chronicles the daring and ingenious plot to kill Hitler. In a country in the grips of evil, a loyal and proud military man, von Stauffenberg serves his country and hopes someone will find a way to stop Hitler before Europe and Germany are destroyed.

With time running out, he decides to take matter into his own hands and joins a group of high-ranking German officers in the German resistance. Together, they attempt to use a modified Operation Valkyrie, an emergency plan that was meant to be used in case of a revolt against the Nazi government, to assassinate the dictator.

Directed by Bryan Singer and penned by screenwriter duo, Christopher McQuarrie and Nathan Alexander, this drama thriller stars Tom Cruise, Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Carice van Houten and many others. Though having experienced much changes in its release date throughout the past months, it has been set to hit the U.S. big screen on December 26.
