Take a closer look into Kevin James' comedy movie about the enthusiastic and dedicated mall cop who is about to be the real cop he always dreams of.

AceShowbiz - The first trailer of "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" has surfaced. While the teaser focuses on how Kevin James as the mall cop Paul Blart is being teased and harassed by a skate boarder, this trailer gives out more of Blart's background story as a loser and his dream of becoming a member of New Jersey State Police but fails miserably when he falls asleep during the physical test given.

Though enthusiastic and dedicated to his job as a mall cop, he gets no respect from his colleagues and the mall employees. But, when a crew of crooks plans to rob the entire mall, Blart gets his chance to prove his worth. Clumsy as he is, he is ready to defend the mall from the baddies with everything that he has and becomes the hero of the day.

From Emmy Award-nominated actor Kevin James comes an outrageous comedy about a mall security guard dealing with hostage situation in his mall. Co-written and co-produced by James, the flick also features Jayma Mays, Keir O'Donnell and Adam Ferrara among others. Helmed by the director of "Are We Done Yet?", Steve Carr, it is set for January 16, 2009 release.
