Words are Columbia Pictures are looking forward to do another sequel of "XXX" which is tentatively entitled "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage". Said to be in talks with producer Joe Roth for the sequel's possibility, the studio allegedly plan to team up once again the film's original lead actor, Vin Diesel, and helmer Rob Cohen.

According to Variety, Diesel and Cohen have agreed to come back for the new project although no deal has been signed yet. Diesel will once more take on his Xander Cage character, law-breaking extreme sports enthusiast-turned-government agent. In the first sequel, "XXX: State of the Union", which stars Ice Cube and directed by Lee Tamahori, Cage has been reportedly killed in Bora Bora leading to his replacement by imprisoned former U.S. Navy SEAL Darius Stone as the XXX.

"XXX" is a 2002 action movie that has been marketed as a modern James Bond style film. Starring Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson and Asia Argento, the flick has become a hit collecting as much as $142.1 million nationwide and $277.4 million worldwide. Following its success, a sequel is made for 2005 release. But, the reception was poor as it only managed to bring in $71 million worldwide.
