In a telephone interview with USA Today, the actor said his wife is due to give birth to their second child soon and he also revealed the forthcoming infant's sex, saying it's a girl.

Matt Damon breaks his silence. Instead of keeping the information private, he prefers to share it with people. In an interview with USA Today, via telephone from his home in Miami, the actor addressed on such issues, as his forthcoming second child, family time, and charity effort.
Is waiting for the arrival of his second child with wife Luciana Bozan Barroso, the actor said the infant is a girl and due to be born soon, without mentioning the exact date. "I'm so outnumbered down here, it's crazy," Damon said jokingly of becoming the only man in his nuclear family. Already found out the sex of the baby, he and Luciana "decided to wait till she's born" to pick out a name. "We're going to get a look at her and we'll probably keep debating it," so he said.
In between times waiting for the arrival of the baby, Damon has revealed his future plans at least for the rest of the year. Has completed filming "The Informant," for which he is asked to fatten up for about 30 pounds, he's hard at work gaining back his fit figure for Paul Greengrass' upcoming big screen project, which is still untitled.
"If you put it on, it's easier to get it back off," he revealed. "I'm just boxing. I figure if you get hit enough times, it will fall off."
Is expected to shed the weight by early September, he's planning to spend the rest of this year "taking the rest and just hanging out with my family." He, in the meantime, also is prepping himself for the launching of One X One Foundation's U.S. operations, with a San Francisco gala on Oct. 23. The charity, which is first started in Canada, helps children worldwide.
On him being involved in the charity, he explained "It's about helping kids. It's not like before I was a father I was like, 'The hell with those kids.' But something does shift when you have a child of your own. It's hard not to look at every child as somehow connected to you."
Damon and Luciana have been married since 2005. They have one daughter together, Isabella, and Luciana also has another daughter from a previous relationship, named Alexia, who has been adopted by Damon.
