Following the latest trend on the music industry, Busta Rhymes has now joined The Game, Ne-Yo and Lloyd's footsteps by pushing back his new album's release date. Busta's upcoming set "Blessed" that was scheduled to drop on July 1 will be delayed for about 6-8 more weeks.
The rapper himself has confirmed about that news, in a recent interview with New York's radio Hot 97 stating that some music samples problems are behind the delay. "We just pushed about six to eight weeks because we having a little issue with two samples that I'm about eight five percent away getting cleared. I don't wanna change the songs because it'll change the feel of the record," Busta said.
Moreover, on that interview, the rapper also assures his fans that he will still keep the character and identities of his new album by still using J Dilla's production on the new record. Confirming it he said, "You can't have a Busta Rhymes album without a J Dilla. Just in case y'all ain't familiar, every Busta Rhymes solo album has a J Dilla production on it. From the first Busta Rhymes solo joint all the way to The Big Bang-every album has had a J Dilla track. We gonna continue that legacy."
Not only preparing to release his new album, Busta also has other music projects that he will do this year. One of the biggest events he will be doing is joining rock band Linkin Park to perform at their Projekt Revolution tour which will kick off on July 16 and end on August 24.
