Already made public her plans to wed actress girlfriend Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres reportedly is planning a pre-wedding trip to Australia to meet Portia's family. Is hoping to travel to Portia's native country, Ellen actually wants to pay a visit to her grandmother who won't be able to travel to the U.S. for their upcoming wedding.
"I've met Portia's mother and her cousins, and I mentioned last night that we should go (to Australia) for Christmas. I can't wait to get there," Ellen was quoted as saying. "I'd like to get the show there. I'm going to push hard to make that happen."
Ellen announced during the taping of her talk show on May 15 that she planned to wed longtime lesbian lover Portia de Rossi. The announcement came hot on the heels of California Supreme Court's dismissal of the state's ban on gay marriage.
And soon following the shocking announcement, she got the offer from the first daughter Jenna Bush, who during an interview on her talk show, offered her family's Texas ranch as a wedding location to hold her planned nuptials to Portia.
