The rock band revealed that they will get back in a few weeks time with a new singer and special new stuffs.

AceShowbiz - Rock band Velvet Revolver revealed a good news to their die hard fans, confirming that the band will hit the stage again with a new vocalist soon. The news was said by the band's drummer Matt Sorum in a recent interview with Artisan News Service.

Revealing about Velvet's future plan, Matt told the news service, "We're coming out with something in a couple of weeks and I think it's going to surprise everybody. It's exciting." Moreover, the ex- Guns N' Roses member also hinted about the band's new singer saying, "We're moving forward. We're going to keep going and play rock 'n' roll and get a new guy singing, so we did it before we'll do it again."

Beside revealing about the rock band's future music plan, on the interview Matt also stated that Velvet plans to do some on-line stuffs but they won't do a reality show although they have had an offer for it. "We're really seriously thinking about doing something on-line. Yeah, we got offered a couple of different television ideas you know. Mark Burnett called us and asked us to do that 'Rock Star' thing and we basically said no to that. We felt that wasn't the right forum for us to do it, so we got some ideas and we should have that news in a couple weeks," Matt said.

Previously, the rock band had to take a break from the music scene after they sacked their lead singer Scott Weiland on April 1. Since then the rockers have been linked with some famous rock singers to replace Scott, one of them is ex-Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach. But that rumor was then denied by the band's guitarist Slash saying, "I'm not sure if that was meant to be a pot shot or what. Whatever, it's not worth any real drama."
