The former WWE champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be starring in another comedy movie. According to Variety, the professional wrestler turned action actor has been signed to star as the title character in "Tooth Fairy".
In the 20th Century Fox's film, the 35-year-old actor is set to portray an ordinary man who has been picked up to be the savior of the tooth fairy kingdom. For the project, he will once again team up with "The Game Plan" producers Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray.
Penned by Lowell Ganz, Babaloo Mandel, Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia, "Fairy" has been scheduled to start shooting in August 2008. It will be made under the direction of "The Santa Clause 2" and "The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause" helmer Michael Lembeck.
Rock made his transition from a sportsman to an actor through his performance as Mathayus the Scorpion King in "The Mummy Returns" and "The Scorpion King". He then starred in various films, such as "The Rundown", "Walking Tall" , "Be Cool" and "Gridiron Gang". He will next be seen in "Get Smart" that is set to be released on June 20.
