Michelle Williams, the former fiancee of Heath Hedger, has arrived home in New York on Wednesday, January 23 soon following the sudden death of the actor.

AceShowbiz - Michelle Williams, the former fiancee of Heath Ledger, was on location in Sweden filming her latest flick "Mammoth", when she got the news of the actor's sudden death on Tuesday, January 22. Felt devastated by the bad news, the actress quickly boarded a plane back to New York Wednesday morning, January 23.

Took along daughter Matilda Rose Ledger with her, Michelle was reported to make a stop in Landvetter Airport in Gothenburg, Sweden, before traveling on to New York. She arrived at her Brooklyn home by Wednesday night.

Michelle and Heath met in the box office hit "Brokeback Mountain." They broke their engagement in September 2007 yet agreed that parenting their daughter, Matilda, came first.

While Michelle herself has not yet commented on Heath's death, her father Larry Williams issued a statement on Wednesday, saying "I think Tennyson got it right in the poem when he described someone as having died at a young age but burning the candles at both ends, and oh what a beautiful flame he made, that was Heath. What a beautiful flame he made and a great talent. My heart goes out to everyone in his family and my family. The saddest thing is his daughter whom he just loved dearly."
