LiLo was in Italy to receive an award for her film work at the 12th Annual Capri Hollywood International Film Festival when she was videotaped drinking champagne directly from a bottle on the dance floor at a New Year's Eve Party Monday night, December 31.
Video of the actress drinking champagne hit the Internet Thursday, January 3 and first appeared on TMZ.com.
Hot on the heels of the leak of the video, Lindsay's lawyer Blair Berk quickly issued a statement to set the record straight on that matter.
"After being handed a champagne bottle while on the dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay stopped herself, called her sponsor and got herself back on track," Berk said in a statement, added "There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world."
