The extremely popular 1978 musical flick "Grease" may have great possibility to get a remake, and what's more, it could get Jessica Simpson to star in also, that's if looking from what Michelle Pfeiffer remarked recently.

Britain's Daily Express claims to have been told by the actress that she has been approached to take part in a new version of the movie with Simpsons being tipped for the role of Sandy Olsson, played by Olivia Newton-John in the original.

"It's a great idea and I hear they would like to get Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy; she would be good," so Pfeiffer said as quoted by the paper.

The three-time Oscar nominee was further reported to reveal that she is circling the chance to portray Principal McGee while ironically expressing her regret of taking the role of Stephanie Zinone in sequel to the original, "Grease 2", admitting she "hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was."

"She is fun and has some great put-down lines. I think I would like the part now that I have been asked," she commented about the McGee character.
