The Game was charged June 4th with making a criminal threat, possessing a firearm in a school zone, and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer stemmed from a February 24th incident during which he got into an altercation with a player on an opposing team during a basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in South Los Angeles.

According to his accuser, Rodrick Shannon, The Game exchanged words with him, calling his team "garbage" before striking him with a closed fist to the face. Shannon testified that The Game then went to the parking lot and reach into a Cadillac Escalade and brandish a firearm. "He started proceeding towards me. The gun was still in his hand. He yelled that I'm a ... fool. I turned around and ran because I feared for my life," Shannon revealed.

Previously arrested on May 11th at home amid a crowd of fans, The Game was later on released after posting $50,000 bail. He could face more than five years in prison if convicted. A pretrial hearing has been set for October 30th.
