His representative, however, denied that he was ever in risk of contempt of court, and said the actor went through the normal legal channels to seek an extension before finally reporting to the courthouse that day.

"There was no ultimatum from the court. He obtained all his extensions by the book. He called in just like everyone else did and had to serve today," the representative said in a statement.
