In a statement released through its spokeswoman Allison Gollust, it is confirmed that "NBC News has not and will not pay for interviews" adding that "We don't have an agreement in place for Paris Hilton." NBC News also denied that NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker had called Paris' father, Rick Hilton, to lobby for "Today."

Paris' spokesman, in addition, also denied any interviews, saying "Paris Hilton is not being paid for any television interview. Nor is Paris being paid for any collateral, including video and photographs related to any television interview."
