20-Minutes Tickets Sold Out in Prince's Opening Show

In only 20 minutes, Prince's opening show at the 02 Arena are sold out.

AceShowbiz - Prince's first seven London concerts have sold out in minutes. Fans of the diminutive singer snapped up all the tickets for the star's opening shows at The 02 arena in just 20 minutes. Another eight shows at the same venue have now been announced as part of Prince's 21-date London extravaganza.

AEG Live promoter Rob Hallet said: "Prince is one of the greatest live acts of all time so we anticipated a big reaction and we weren't disappointed."

The 'Purple Rain' star will kick-off his tour on August 1 at the 20,000 capacity venue, formerly known as the Millennium Dome. Seats for the first seven shows sold at a rate of 1,000 per minute, with sales increasing when it merged Prince gave a secret performance at Camden's Koko club on Monday (14.05.07).

This is reportedly the last time Prince will ever perform his greatest hits.

The other arenas have not yet been decided but possible venues include the Royal Albert Hall and The Forum. Tickets went on sale for only �31.21, in honor of his "3121" album and Las Vegas club of the same name.

Prince said: "The last time I was here a lot of people didn't get to see me. So I tried to make it more affordable for everyone."

The singer has allegedly invited Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone to appear on his tour.
