This time is for real. Nick Cannon has proposed to model girlfriend Selita Ebanks.
The funnyman took a serious step in his relationship with Ebanks when he on Monday night May 7th popped the question to girlfriend in the middle of Times Square.
Nick and Selita were leaving the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala when the actor got on one knee with a 12-carat diamond ring while the MTV JumboTron in New York's Times Square flashed the question, "Selita will you marry me?"
The couple celebrated at the New York nightclub Butter, with Cannon surprising Ebanks by flying in his mother, both her parents and best friends into town. The couple left the party at 3 a.m. and caught a private plane back to L.A., where Cannon is working on his new film, the indie flick "American Son."
